Inspired by some posters I seen on the net today I decided to do a wee minimalist wall poster tribute to Kenny Dalglish.

Upon seeing it though my housemate Graeme (a Man Utd fan) conceptualized a rather different poster. This is what I came up with under his direction…. massive thanks to Sam Elliot for the loan of his moustache…

Liverpool released their new 3rd kit today and it contained *gasps* the colour blue!
This is a crime tantamount to treason! I’ve decided to rectify this mistake with just a couple of little tweaks…
Classic Red and grey… its amazing how little can make a huge difference:D

A friend of mine designed this in jest for Biffy Clyro’s design a t-shirt competition. Although it wasn’t originally his plan, its actually gone viral and has amassed over 100,000 votes online!
The final decision on whether the t-shirt is made or not rests with the band… really really hope they have a good sense of humour. I’d buy this t-shirt for God’s sake, and I’m not really a fan of the band!
Make sure it gets your vote!
I’m giddy with excitement! After months (upon months, upon months) of saving up I’m going to invest in a lovely Nikon 70-200mm zoom lens! This is a lens so good that it costs the price of a car… well, a cheap car, but still a car…
Anyways, as one final push to get the requisite funds for this extravagant yet essential (yes, essential) purchase I’m selling off my old Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 HSM lens. This lens originally cost me £650 and has been a brilliant companion, especially for live-band shoots. Here’s just one of thousands of pics I took with it;

Hmmmm bokeh so good you can taste it! Anyways, its time to part company with this old friend… it can be YOUR new friend for a measly £350!
If you can give this lens a new home please give me a shout!
Some pics of the lovely Calvin Harris DJing in Mandela Hall, Belfast last week. He played a really cool set - eased them in with some more commercial dance but turned it on big-style for the last hour. Absolutely bangin’ as the youth of today might (but probably don’t) say…

This is the cover design for my band’s new single ‘Better place’ which was used in a recent ad campaign for BT. We’ve been fortunate enough to have our songs used for adverts before but this one has been surreal in terms of exposure!
The photograph was taken at my parents’ house around Christmas time on a beautiful crisp countryside morning. The plane was headed out towards the Atlantic ocean and it got me thinking of NYC and how much I long to go back there. And with that thought, the link to ‘Better Place’ came about… god knows i love Northern Ireland, but NYC inspires and gets into your blood the way no other city i’ve visited ever could.
Award winning Northern Irish artist (and decent musician) Frances McCrory is in the process of turning a photographic portrait I took of Belfast-based musician Steve Toner into a wonderful painting.
I’m really chuffed Frances liked my photo and I’m sure steve will get no end of ego-massage from having his majectic old face adorning an art gallery.
My hometown recorded a Northern Irish record low temperature of -18.6… what better way to celebrate than to venture out with my camera and tripod for some long exposure photographs at 1am! When I got back indoors after 2 hours outside my knuckles were actually cracked and bleeding… the results were worth it though!
Nikon D700, 24-70mm lens, 30 second exposure, f4, ISO 200

This is my first attempt at Camera Projection, a technique where you make a still photograph look like it is moving. In this case i tried to make it look like a slow motion strobbing movement.
The photograph was broken into component parts using Photoshop CS5. Sections of the crowd were cloned and rebuilt. Then it was all all put together and animated using After Effects. It takes a bit of patience and trial and error but the results are interesting.
I think there might be more than a dalliance with this technique for me…
My band ‘The Jane Bradfords’ are back! After a long hiatus since our first album (has it really been 3 years?) this is our first single ‘Judicial Duel’.
The cover photograph was taken in Belfast city centre. I never bothered to find out what the building was called (I gotta stop doing that) but I loved the smokey old brick walls that is characteristically Belfast. So yeah, come visit Belfast; Smokey walls and pubs.
